Back to business; team resumes training

Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo takes the team through a previous training session

After a one week break, it is back to business for the team as focus shifts to the third place playoff in the SportPesa Shield on Saturday 20th October at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani.

Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo gave the team a week – long break after the final match of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) campaign against Mathare United, which ended 1 – 1 at MISC, Kasarani.

Gym work

The players resumed energized and started the week’s program with gym work before upscaling in later sessions with field work and The Don hopes that the week will go on well and culminate in a win over AFC Leopards on Saturday.

“The season has been so grueling and they needed that rest. It is the best way to get them to give their all and now we are hoping for a good week of training and finish off with a win over Leopards on Saturday.

“We’d have liked to be playing for the title but that is the nature of football so we will be going all out for a win in the playoff,” he said.

This will be the third meeting with AFC Leopards this season; the first two meetings have produced 2 – 1 wins for either side.
