Back to work; team resumes to prepare for Sharks game

Players warm up ahead of the KPL game against Posta Rangers on Sunday 18th March at Afraha Stadium

After a three day break, the team has resumed training to prepare for the next match, a Saturday 31st March clash against Kariobangi Sharks, which will be staged at the Kenyatta Stadium, in Machakos.

Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has a lot on his plate as he looks to get the players in shape, while three – goalkeeper Timothy Odhiambo, midfielders Ibrahim Shambi and Cliff Kasuti – will not be with the team for the time being as they are out on national team duty.

Address the mistakes

The coach pointed out that he will be looking to address the pitfalls experienced in the draw with Posta Rangers in the last match as the team conceded late to draw 2 – 2 at the Afraha Stadium on Sunday 18th March.

“We want to take the time to sort the small mistakes we had in the last match. Generally the players are upbeat and we have set clear targets going into the next match. It will be a tough one but we do not expect any easy games in the league.

“We will plan for a friendly match in between and see how to fix a few issues here and there,” he said.

The team picked a win in the last away outing against Kakamega Homeboyz and will be hoping for a second straight win.
