Clean bill passed ahead of Mathare United visit

Oliver Ruto celebrates his goal against Vihiga United on Sunday 15th July, 2018. He is back in contention for a place against Mathare United on Sunday 14th April

Head coach Benjamin Nyangweso will have a fully fit squad to choose from when his firms up his charges for the game against Mathare United at Afraha Stadium on Sunday 14th April in the 22nd round of matches.

The only player who was on the injury list, Oliver Ruto, has been in training ahead of the game and Team Doctor John Imboywa declared him fit for selection should coach Nyangweso feel the need to use him.

Good enough

“Ruto has been in training and he is good and fit enough to play. Now the ball is in the coach’s court, on whether or not he feels the defender can be part of this game,” the doctor noted.

After a torrid three straight matches, Nyangweso will be hoping for a lift in this clash. The team is coming from losses to Kakamega Homeboyz and AFC Leopards and a draw with Sofapaka in the last three matches.

Nyangweso will however be happy to note that his team goes to this clash unbeaten in five matches against Mathare United, though each of the last three meetings ended in draws – two barren.

The match is set to kick off at 3pm.
