Coach Nyaudo sticks with winning team heading to Chemelil clash

Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has named the same starting team that faced off with Nakumatt as he gears for Chemelil Sugar game

Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has named an unchanged starting line up from the one that faced Nakumatt, for the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match against Chemelil Sugar on Sunday 29th April at the Afraha Stadium.

The experienced Jacktone Odhiambo keeps his place in goal, as the coach banks on him to deliver a home clean sheet to see off a tough month for the team and with him starting, Hassan Rio Mohamed will still don the armband for the clash.

Defensive mainstays Oliver Ruto and George Omondi, as well as Brian Birgen will once again be on duty in a familiar back four shielded by the consistent Bernard Ongoma while John Kago will start in his third straight game after putting up a consistently good show in the past two.

Elvis Nandwa, who scored in the previous game, and also got the team’s last goal in March, will be hoping to repeat his heroics in the last game of April, as he has been handed a start while lead scorer Masita Masuta returns to the team after a first half injury that saw him replaced against Nakumatt.

Oscar Wamalwa, scorer of a second half brace against Nakumatt, starts on the bench. The only changes in the team are on the bench where the coach has included Enosh Ochieng and Hamisi Abdalla, replacing Oscar Injika and Cylus Shitote.

Starting XI: Jacktone Odhiambo (GK), Hassan Mohamed (c), George Omondi, Brian Birgen, Oliver Ruto, Michael Otieno, Bernard Ongoma, Daniel Waweru, John Kago, Masita Masuta, Elvis Nandwa.
