Defender Hassan Mohamed in action against Gor Mahia in a past match
The Saturday 23rd March Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match against Gor Mahia will not take place. The match has been postponed upon Gor Mahia’s request with the team having released a number of its senior players for international duty.
This is the third time the match has been moved, after earlier being scheduled for 3rd March, then 6th March.
Gor Mahia will have Philemon Otieno, Joash Onyango and Francis Kahata on duty with the Kenya national team as it heads to West Africa to face Ghana in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Saturday 23rd March.
Also absent in the Gor Mahia roster will be Rwandan Jaqcues Tuyisenge and Burundian Francis Mustafa and the KPL Secretariat has already issued a notice confirming that the game will not go on as scheduled.
It thus means the team will go on with preparations for the Sony Sugar FC clash set for Wednesday 27th March, but The Don has a clash against Tusker on Wednesday 20 March to work on.
