Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has rued the lack of consistency in the team after two straight losses
Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has lamented at the lack of consistency seen in the team, in light of two straight losses, both coming with a heavy impact on the team’s 2018 campaign targets.
On Sunday 23rd September, a five game unbeaten run was ended by a 4-1 beating by Kariobangi Sharks and that was followed by a 0-1 loss to Zoo FC in the 32nd round Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash.
While the Sunday loss meant the team will not pick silverware at the end of the season, the Zoo loss means a second place finish will not be achieved and The Don was left ruing the lack of consistency.

“The biggest problem we have with this team is the lack of consistency; we are not consistent at all and now it is coming to cost us really heavily. One day we are doing well, the next we are poor and it is really wasting us. We have been missing lots of chances too,” he decried.
A long list of injuries is also another factor the coach has been forced to deal with but with two matches still remaining, the coach hopes to see the team avoid a further slump from the fourth place currently occupied.
“It has also not been easy with a growing injury list. We are missing a lot of players and with the response I am getting from the available players we should just work on finishing second or third. That is the more realistic target we can set now,” he added.
