Two players will be unavailable for selection when Ulinzi Stars heads to Ruaraka Stadium for the 18th match of the season, against Tusker FC on Sunday 26th January.
Team doctor John Imboywa has confirmed Mark Barasa Bikokwa and goalkeeper Timothy Odhiambo are still weeks away from action, and will be the only players not considered for selection by head coach Benjamin Nyangweso.
Both players are nursing hamstring injuries sustained earlier in the season and Doctor Imboywa reveals that they could return to full training in two weeks time.
Comes too soon
“This game comes too soon for them; they can’t be cleared for the Sunday match but we expect that after two weeks they will be ready to resume training,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Brian Birgen, who has been out for the last four matches, is fit and in training. He will boost coach Nyangweso’s options at right back, which was filled up by Byron Odiaga while Birgen was out.
For the Tusker clash, Nyangweso will also miss joint top scorer Oscar Wamalwa, who is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards, while George Omondi and Kelvin Thairu are set to leave for military training.
