The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) schedule for the 2019 season has been released, with the campaign set to start earlier this time out as the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) seeks to align its calendar with most of the world leagues.
The season will commence on 8th December 2018 but Ulinzi Stars plays its first match a day later, touring Kakamega County for a clash against Vihiga United at the Mumias Sports Complex.
Ulinzi Stars played Vihiga United thrice in the 2018 season, winning twice at Mumias Sports Complex and losing at Afraha Stadium.
The team’s first home match will be against newly promoted KCB, at Afraha Stadium on Sunday 16th December.
The December schedule will see the team face Mathare United in the third game, away at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday 22nd December then close the year with a game against Sofapaka at home on Saturday 29th December.
The first match of the new year comes on Wednesday 2nd January and it will be an away game against Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium.
The team finished 2018 in fourth position and head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has assured of a bigger push in 2019 as he seeks a better finish.
