Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo talks to players during a break in a past game.
The planned friendly match against Mathare United set for Friday 30th November has been called off.
The match was initially scheduled to take place at 10am at the Goan Institute as part of head coach Dunstan Nyaudo’s preseason training program but it has since been shelved to allow the players time for pre competition medical assessment.
The medicals are scheduled for Friday starting 8am and the coach has confirmed the cancellation.
“It is unfortunate, because I was really hoping to gain from this friendly, but again the medicals are also as important. We have communicated to Mathare United to express our regrets over the same,” he said.
In the meantime, the friendly match against AFC Leopards is still on but there has been a change with the venue for the clash. The match, which was initially set to take place in Gigiri, will now be played at Hope Center starting 10am on Saturday 1st December.
It is after the Leopards friendly match that The Don will name the final team for the first leg of the 2018/19 season.
The coach has been conducting trials to bolster his squad, and has so far signed two players – Ezekiel Okare from Sofapaka and Clinton Omondi from Sony Sugar FC.
