Head coach Benjamin Nyangweso and his charges reconvened for training on Wednesday ahead of the game against AFC Leopards, which is scheduled for Sunday 2nd February and he hopes to have no glitches in preparation.
In the last game, against Tusker FC, Ulinzi Stars was headed for a fifth straight win, until the hosts won a controversial penalty at Ruaraka Stadium and while it was a pain dropping two points, Nyangweso has called on his players to move on and focus on the task ahead.
He duly noted that there are a few concerns in the team in the run up to the match at Afraha Stadium but with three days to go, he is optimistic of better news from the medical team.
“We are progressing well in training, just a few knocks here and there but we are still assessing everyone ahead of the game on Sunday.
“The last match ended somehow in disappointment but we have moved on; the focus is right and we hope for a positive game and result on Sunday. We know we will be facing tough opponents so we have to prepare well,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mark Barasa Bikokwa, who has been out with a hamstring injury has started training and will be among the players assessed for the AFC Leopards match.
