Justin Onuonga is out with a hamstring injury and he will miss the Posta Rangers game
The Ulinzi Stars camp has been rocked by the news that speedy winger Justine Onuonga will not be available for selection in the next game, when the team takes on Posta Rangers on Sunday 19th August at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
The winger was withdrawn early in the first half of the loss to Sony Sugar on Sunday 12th August at Afraha Stadium and as the team resumed training on Tuesday, it has emerged that he will take a little longer on the sidelines, with a hamstring injury.
Team Doctor John Imboywa has revealed that it may be two weeks out for the winger as he recuperates.
“Justin is out for a minimum two weeks. He sustained a hamstring injury and that will definitely put him off for some time,” the doctor said.
Meanwhile, Cylus Shitote, who has also been out with a hamstring injury is back in training though the weekend game comes too soon for him.
“Cylus is back but just doing light training as we look to slowly ease him back to action. He is not ready yet but I think he may be available after a week or so,” the doctor added.
Onuonga joins Oscar Injika and Eugene Ochieng in the sidelines. Injika has a problematic ankle and was earlier scheduled to be out for four weeks, while Eugene is set for another MRI scan.
