Odiaga, Okare named in match day squad for Sofapaka clash

Head coach Benjamin Nyangweso has named the team that will face Sofapaka on Match Day 2 of the 2019 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season, on Saturday 14 September, making four changes to the squad. There will be no change to the starting team that faced Kisumu All Stars, with Bernard Ongoma keeping the armband while Timothy Odhiambo continues in goal, with skipper James Saruni starting on the bench, as Oscar Wamalwa once again gets to lead the attack.

Mbongi setback for Nyangweso as Birgen stays out of Sofapaka game

After missing the win over Kisumu All Stars in the 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season opening weekend, two key men – defenders Brian Birgen and Omar Mbongi will still sit out the Sofapaka game in Week 2 of the campaign. While Mbongi recovered from the shin injury that locked him out of the opening match in Kisumu, he suffered a bout of malaria and may only resume training on Thursday 12 September, two days before the team faces Sofapaka.

Indeche, Odiaga, Aguero make cut as final squad is released

The final squad list for the first leg of the 2019/20 season has been released, with five new players making the cut as seven leave for various reasons. Among the new players in the team, is defender Quintine Indeche, who was a member of the Ulinzi Stars Youth team in 2016. Newly promoted All Stars the first in 2019/2020 campaign

The fixtures for the 2019/2020 Kenyan Premier League season have been released, with the campaign scheduled to start on Friday 30th August. Ulinzi Stars’ opening match of the season will be against newly promoted side, Kisumu All Stars. The match, slated for 31st August, will be played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
