The Don says he hopes to see an entertaining match against Gor Mahia, but also a big fight from his charges
Head coach Dunstan The Don Nyaudo is hoping Ulinzi Stars can stretch on with the fine run of results it has been registering lately when the team welcomes Gor Mahia to Nakuru on Sunday 13th May, in the 15th week of Kenyan Premier League (KPL) action.
Two points separate the two sides at the top of the KPL log and The Don knows this will be one thoroughly entertaining match, given the runs the two teams have had in the recent weeks, but he will definitely be gunning for a win, which would take Ulinzi Stars top.
In the last game, a 2 – 0 win over Nzoia Sugar on Saturday 5th May, the team put up another great fight to win with second half goals and the coach observed afterwards that with the same spirit, a positive result await against the reigning KPL champions.
“It will be an interesting match, most definitely, because they have been doing well and we are also in good form so I am sure the fans will get a very entertaining game. Most importantly we want to keep our shape and confidence intact ahead of this game.
“We showed a good fighting spirit against Nzoia Sugar, just as we did in the earlier matches and that is the same I hope to see against Gor Mahia. It is in such big games that you see the full potential of your players and I know they are also looking forward to it,” he said.
Last season, the two sides drew 2 – 2 in the first leg in Kisumu before Gor Mahia picked a 1 – 0 win in Afraha and The Don will be keen to see that the bad run against Gor Mahia ends this weekend.
