The Don has called on a strong finish to the season after the 1-1 draw with Mathare United
Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo will be hoping to see one big push in the final match of the season when Ulinzi Stars takes on AFC Leopards in the third place playoff of the SportPesa Shield.
Ulinzi fell to Kariobangi Sharks in the semi finals staged in September and will on Saturday 20th October take on Leopards, who fell to Sofapaka in the semis.
This will be the third time Ulinzi and Leopards face off this season and the coach hopes to see a better result than in the final match of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) campaign when the team let go of a one – goal lead to draw 1-1 with Mathare United.
“We played well, and Mathare United too did well but I think we had an upper hand in this match in the sense that we had a lot of one on ones and many more open chances. It was an open contest.
“I would have wished for a better ending to our league campaign but that is what we got. Now we will prepare for the Shield playoff and hope to end the season on a high,” he said after the Mathare game.
Ulinzi Stars finished in fourth place in the KPL in the season.
