Defender Hassan Mohamed in action against Nzoia Sugar
The team continued with preparations for the trip to South Nyanza for the round seven game against Sony Sugar FC set for Sunday 13th January but the news from camp on Thursday 10th January indicate three players will be ruled out of the match.
The game comes too soon for defenders Hassan Mohamed and Brian Birgen while winger Omar Boraafya is also out but has shown great signs of improvement.
Boraafya is out with a thigh strain sustained in training after the opening game of the season but he is nearing full recovery while Birgen is also back in training after sustaining an ankle injury in training in the run up to the Sofapaka game.
Mohamed suffered a thigh muscle injury in the loss to Nzoia Sugar FC and has been out since.
The good news for head coach Dunstan Nyaudo is the return to full fitness of Kenya U23 international Ibrahim Shambi who has been out since the second round match of the season, against KCB.
