Ulinzi Stars will on Thursday 5th July take on Division One side Timsales FC in a friendly match in Elburgon in part of the preparations for the coming game, against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday 8th July at Afraha Stadium.
Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo is hoping to guide the tea to a second straight win after ending the bad run in June with a 2 – 0 victory over Thika United on Sunday 1st July at the Thika Sub County Stadium.
Ahead of the game against Sharks, three points separates the two sides, with fourth placed Ulinzi Stars on 33 points, and Nyaudo will be seeking to scale a place up, to third at Mathare United’s expense with a win.
So far, one player – Oscar Injika is the confirmed absentee for the game against Sharks. The midfielder has an ankle injury picked earlier in training and the weekend match comes too soon for him.
This will be the fourth meeting in the league between Ulinzi Stars and Sharks. In the earlier three meetings, Ulinzi have two 1 – 0 wins and a 1 – 1 draw.
The first leg meeting in 2018 ended 1 – 0 courtesy of Elvis Nandwa’s second half strike at Camp Toyoyo.
