The team lines up for a photo ahead of the Kakamega Homeboyz game at Bukhungu Stadium on Saturday 10th March, 2018
The team will go into the final training session on Saturday before embarking on the trip to Kakamega for the clash against Posta Rangers which was moved from Camp Toyoyo to Bukhungu Stadium and head coach Dunstan Nyaudo is confident the team will do well there.
It will be the second time in the season that the team gets to play at the refurbished stadium and the coach acknowledges that the playing surface at the stadium will provide for a good and competitive game from both sides as he backs his charges to carry the day.
The team warmed up for the game with a 1 – 0 win over St. Joseph’s Youth in a Friday morning friendly match, with the only goal headed in by assistant captain Hassan Mohamed. The coach notes that the players are motivated and ready for the clash with focus on ending the slum seen in the last three matches.
“Bukhungu offers a really great surface for entertaining play and we surely expect a good game from both sides. Any time we play on a good surface we do well and the players are happy that Rangers chose to take the game there. They are motivated and ready to drive the team back to winning ways,” he said.
In the friendly against the second tier side, the coach says he got good practice and achieved all his targets for it.
“This game was all about trying to carve out our strategy for the Rangers game. We were trying out a few different things and I am happy with what I saw. So far all is good and we are all focused towards the final training session tomorrow and the match,” he added.
