George Omondi in action against Posta Rangers in a past game. He is back after being withdrawn in the weekend game against Posta Rangers with blurred vision
After another winless outing in the last game, against Posta Rangers on Sunday at Bukhungu Stadium, the team resumed training on Tuesday 21st August with a bit of good news with the recovery of defenders George Omondi and Cylus Shitote ahead of the weekend game against Chemelil Sugar.
George was withdrawn at half time in the match against Rangers with blurred vision but Team Doctor John Imboywa confirms he is back and fully in training after recovering while Shitote, who has been out for the last three matches is also back in training after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Back in training
“Both of them are back and fully in training with their mates. It is just up to the coach now to determine their fitness levels as per his plans for the weekend match,” the doctor said.
While the two are back and boost the coach’s options, Mark Bikokwa and Justin Onuonga are ruled out for at least one week with hamstring injuries picked in the match against Sony Sugar two weeks back.
“Bikokwa and Onuonga are in their second week of recovery. They may be ready for action after week as they nurse the injuries,” he added.
Justin and Bikokwa join Oscar Injika and Eugene Ochieng in the treatment room with the two having earlier picked ankle and knee injuries respectively.
