It has been a tremendous season for Enosh Ochieng, his best ever in his top flight career and as the 2018/19 campaign comes to a close, the goal poacher has made it his ambition to win the Golden Boot.
The final match of the season comes on Wednesday 29th May, against bottom side Mount Kenya United and fresh from the national team camp preparing for the African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifiers, Enosh is hoping to make the Harambee Stars experience count.
He is on 17 goals for the season, 10 above his best KPL tally, back in 2014 with Muhoroni Youth and being just a goal behind lead scorer Allan Wanga, he says he wants to give a good push in the final game to earn the award.
“It has been a big season for me; I am happy to have stayed injury free so far and I have also been handed the first national team call up. It is tremendous.
“I have learned a lot from the coaches and fellow players at the national team and it gives me so much confidence going to the Mount Kenya game. I want to score in the game and I hope that counts in my chase for the Golden Boot,” he said.
Apart from Enosh, another Ulinzi Stars player at the national team preparing for CHAN qualifiers is Ibrahim Shambi.
