Masita Masuta in action in a past game against Wazito FC. He will miss the second leg clash against Wazito which will be staged in Kericho
The team continued with preparations for the Kenyan Premier League clash against Wazito FC on Tuesday 11th September with the confirmation that at least five players will not be available for the game, with injuries and suspension.
Striker Masita Masuta is yet to recover from the ankle injury sustained in the win over Nakumatt FC and though Team Doctor John Imboywa confirms he is back in training, he will not be ready for the Sunday 16th September clash at Kericho Green Stadium.
“He has started light training as we continue to observe him but as at now I can confirm he will not be ready for the weekend match,” the doctor said.
Masita joins defender Geoffrey Kokoyo, Eugene Ochieng and Oscar Injika on the sidelines with the three all injured.
Jacktone Odhiambo is also out but with suspension and makes the fifth player unavailable for the weekend match.
Meanwhile, two forwards, Justine Onuonga and Mark Bikokwa are back in training after recovering from hamstring injuries and are in contention for places in the team for the tour of Kericho.
Cliff Kasuti, who was withdrawn from the squad just one hour to the game against River Plate FC last time out, is also back and training well.
