After the win over Chemelil Sugar, The Don will be gunning for more good outings as season end approaches
There was a heavy sigh of relief at the Chemelil Complex on Saturday 25th August as Ulinzi Stars returned to winning ways with a 2 – 0 victory over their hosts, Chemelil Sugar and head coach Dunstan Nyaudo opines that a change from the norm paid off well.
Among the changes The Don made was the inclusion of Enosh Ochieng in the team for only his second start of the season, and using a twin strike system upfront, and it worked well, with Enosh involved in both goals.
“We went to the match after a long dry spell and together with my coaches and players, we discussed about a change in strategy and worked towards that in training all week. I am happy that it worked, giving us two good goals and a win,” he said.
The strategy, he added, was just for the clash and as the team now prepares for the home game against Nakumatt FC in midweek, he says he will consult with his bench on the best approach, while he hailed Nakumatt for the team’s much improved shows in recent times.
“Each game comes with its own strategy; we still have six to go in the league and we will always look at our options and decide on what’s best. We have a target to finish in the top four, and we know we can go all the way to second place but we want to take a game at a time.
“Against Nakumatt, we know we will be facing another tough team and they have been doing well lately so it is a game we have to prepare for very well,” he added.
