Dunstan Nyaudo has backed new coach Benjamin Nyangweso to do well at the team
Ulinzi Stars is bound to be better and stronger with the addition of Benjamin Nyangweso, says former coach Dunstan Nyaudo, who has now assumed the Technical Director’s position at the club.
Nyaudo was appointed Technical Director on Sunday 24th March as Nyangweso replaced him in the head coach’s position and The Don, who is also set to lead the team’s scouting says the club stands to gain a lot from his and Nyangweso’s experience.
He has assured of maximum support to the coach, noting that there is a lot to gain from the season.
“Nyangweso is experienced and knows quite well the challenge ahead of him. He takes the team midway through the season and needs to settle in very fast. I will be around to assist him at his initiative because we are both eyeing the success and well-being of the team.
“He is experienced at this level and I believe working together will be great for the team. There is a lot to achieve this season; it calls for dedication,” he said.
Nyaudo led the team through 2018 up to midway 2019, having replaced Nyangweso at the close of the 2017 campaign.
Under The Don’s reign in 2018, the team finished fourth and he was named the runners up Coach of the Year at the 2018 KPL Awards.
