Ulinzi Stars will face Nakuru AllStars in a friendly match as part of preparations for Vihiga United clash
Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo’s charges will get a chance to test themselves in two friendly matches before they get to play Vihiga United in the next game in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).
On Thursday 12th July, the team will be at the Afraha Stadium as from 10am, to take on National Super League (NSL) side Nakuru AllStars in the first friendly match.
On Friday 13th July, the team makes the short trip to Naivasha where it faces third tier side Vegpro FC in a match that will kick off at 3pm.
Draw with Sharks
The team is coming from a 1 – 1 draw with Kariobangi Sharks and coach Nyaudo will be hoping to inspire his boys to a return to winning ways when they face Vihiga United, who picked a 1 – 0 win over Ulinzi Stars at Afraha Stadium in April.
The win in April was also the first in the top flight for Vihiga United and they are coming from a 1 – 0 win over Wazito FC.
The Sunday 15th July game will be the first of back to back matches between the two as they are scheduled to face off again on Sunday 22nd July at the same venue – Mumias Sports Complex – in the SportPesa Shield.
Heading to the clash, the two sides are separated by 11 points on the Kenyan Premier League standings with Ulinzi sixth on 34 points and Vihiga 14th.
